How to Structure an AEC Project Profile That Actually Converts
Most project pages are pretty dead ends. They look nice, but they don't convert to 'Hires' or 'Leads'. Here is the anatomy of a High-Conversion Project Profile.
How to Structure an AEC Project Profile That Actually Converts
Most project pages are pretty dead ends. They look nice, but they don't convert to 'Hires' or 'Leads'. Here is the anatomy of a High-Conversion Project Profile.
The Dead End
You look at a typical project page on an architect's website.
- A title: "House on the Hill."
- 5 high-res photos.
- A paragraph of "Architectural Speak" (poetic, abstract).
- End of page.
What does the reader do? They say "Nice." And they leave. It is a Dead End. It creates no friction, but it also creates no action.
If you want your work to work for you, you need to turn the Dead End into a Hub.
The Anatomy of a High-Conversion Profile
A high-performing Acthade profile node follows a specific structure designed to trigger Trust and Inquiry.
1. The "Hook" (The Summary)
Don't write poetry. Write a Problem/Solution Statement.
- Bad: "An exploration of duality and light."
- Good: "A net-zero retrofit of a 1950s warehouse, delivered 10% under budget." Why: Clients buy solutions, not explorations. The hook captures the business brain, not just the aesthetic brain.
2. The "Evidence" (The Gallery)
Order matters.
- Hero Shot: The emotional hook. (The best render/photo).
- Context Shot: Provide scale.
- Process/Detail: CRITICAL.
- Include a wall section.
- Include a construction photo.
- Include a sketch. Why: The "Process" image proves you didn't just buy the render. It proves you built it. It converts the viewer from "Admirer" to "Believer."
3. The "Team Graph" (The Credits)
This is where you unlock the network. List specific roles.
- Lead Architect: [Name]
- Structural Engineer: [Firm Name]
- Facade Consultant: [Person Name] Why: Every person you tag gets a notification. They come to the page. They share the page. You leverage their network to amplify your work.
4. The "Tech Stack" (The Metadata)
List the tools used.
Revit,Rhino,Enscape. Why: Recruiters search by software. If you don't list it, you are invisible to the headhunter looking for a "Revit Lead."
5. The "Components" (The Supply Chain)
Tag the products.
Schuco Windows,Herman Miller,Corian. Why: Brands search for their products. If you tag them, they might feature you. Free PR.
The Conversion Trigger
At the bottom of the node, the viewer has seen:
- The Problem you solved.
- The Evidence you built it.
- The Team you led.
- The Tools you mastered.
The implicit question changes from "Does it look nice?" to "Can I hire this person?"
Structure creates Signal
Cosmetics (fonts, colors) are nice. But Structure (Data, Relationships, Logic) is what converts.
