About this asset

A collection of eight seamless encaustic cement tile textures for SketchUp featuring geometric and floral patterns in SketchUp. This collection provides eight distinct decorative tile patterns, each rendered with a matte, cement-like finish. The designs range from classic floral motifs and quatrefoil arrangements to bold geometric abstractions including circles, interlocking curves, and isometric cubes. The colour palette is diverse, mixing muted earthy tones, sage greens, and mustard yellows with stark monochrome black, grey, and white compositions. Each tile texture is designed to repeat seamlessly, allowing for uniform application across large surfaces such as floors or feature walls without visible seams or distracting breaks in the pattern continuity.

The download is a 58.4 MB compressed archive with the textures and a ready-made SketchUp (.skp) material library, so the maps arrive already assigned to materials you can drag onto your own geometry.

To use these textures in SketchUp, import the image files into your material browser to create new custom materials. Apply the material to a surface and adjust the scale in the Edit tab to match the real-world dimensions of the tile unit. For enhanced realism, these can be mapped alongside bump or displacement maps to simulate the slight texture and grout lines characteristic of traditional encaustic cement flooring in architectural visualisations.

These textures are suitable for interior design projects requiring a vintage or Mediterranean aesthetic, such as kitchen splashbacks, bathroom floors, or feature areas in cafes and boutique retail spaces. They pair well with natural timber furniture, brass hardware, and neutral wall finishes. Architects and visualisers will find them useful during the concept and design development stages to quickly establish a material palette and provide clients with accurate visual representations of patterned flooring or wall cladding in residential and hospitality environments.
