About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI map captures an abandoned outdoor stage in clear afternoon sunlight, providing natural environment lighting. The environment features a dilapidated outdoor amphitheatre set in a clearing. The composition centres on a curved stage structure with weathered concrete surfaces, marked by graffiti and signs of decay. Surrounding the stage, cracked concrete tiers are overgrown with wild vegetation, creating a raw, post-industrial aesthetic. The lighting is crisp and bright, characteristic of a clear afternoon, casting distinct shadows across the ground plane. The panoramic view captures a wide horizon with dense foliage, providing a realistic sense of scale and natural context for architectural or cinematic visualisation projects.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this HDR file directly into the environment slot of any major rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. It functions as a complete light source, providing both the background plate and the global illumination data required for realistic reflections and shadows. Users should adjust the exposure and rotation parameters within their software to align the light direction with their scene geometry, ensuring the soft, natural sunlight integrates seamlessly with the virtual camera's perspective.

This HDRI is ideal for architectural visualisations requiring an authentic, weathered urban or semi-rural setting. It works effectively for project stages involving site analysis, concept development, or final rendering of outdoor communal spaces. The asset pairs well with industrial-style furniture, concrete structures, or urban landscape designs. Designers looking for a realistic, slightly gritty backdrop for product shots or exterior scenes will find this an essential tool for achieving natural, high-quality lighting without the need for complex, hand-placed light rigs.
