About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic natural lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a sunlit field landscape. This high-dynamic-range image captures an expansive, sun-drenched meadow during a clear-sky afternoon. The perspective is set at eye level, looking across tall, textured grasses toward a distant treeline and a small cluster of rural dwellings. The scene is dominated by a bright, unclouded blue sky and natural, soft-contrast sunlight that creates gentle shadows across the field. The composition provides an ideal 360-degree backdrop for exterior architectural visualisations, offering consistent, natural illumination and a realistic horizon line that integrates seamlessly with ground-plane geometry in most modern rendering engines.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment slot of your rendering software's world settings. Ensure the mapping type is set to spherical or equirectangular to maintain correct projection. You may need to rotate the map on the Z-axis to align the sun position with your scene's primary light sources or shadows. Adjust the exposure or gamma settings within your renderer to fine-tune the intensity of the ambient light and background visibility.

This environment is well-suited for exterior architectural renders, particularly residential projects, vacation homes, or rural developments. It provides a serene, natural backdrop that complements projects requiring a bright, daylight aesthetic. Use this asset when you need to establish a sense of place in countryside settings, or to provide realistic global illumination for exterior models. It pairs effectively with landscape architecture elements, such as gravel paths, wooden decking, or garden furniture, enhancing the overall realism of your daytime exterior visualisations.
