Qwantani Mid Morning HDRI Environment Map

This Qwantani Mid Morning HDRI environment map provides clear, high-contrast lighting and a natural hilltop background for 3D scenes. The environment map captures a wide, open landscape at mid-morning, featuring a rugged foreground of dry, textured grasses and weathered stone outcrops. In the distance, a calm lake stretches toward a soft, hazy horizon defined by rolling mountains. The lighting is bright and directional, characteristic of a clear day, casting crisp shadows and highlighting the earthy brown tones of the vegetation. This panoramic HDR file provides a full 360-degree environment, ensuring consistent ambient illumination and realistic reflections for architectural visualisations that require a natural, expansive outdoor setting.

The download is a 5.8 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your 3D software's rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for accurate shadow casting. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, it will naturally drive the global illumination and reflection maps of your scene, providing realistic lighting contrast without needing additional light sources. Use the exposure slider to fine-tune the brightness levels to match the specific artistic intent of your camera view.

This environment is well-suited for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and automotive renders where a vast, natural backdrop is required. It pairs effectively with scenes featuring rustic cabins, outdoor patios, or expansive wilderness vistas. Professionals searching for a realistic daylight setup for rural or remote site contexts will find this asset useful for establishing a sense of scale and place. It is particularly effective for daytime renders that require clear, crisp lighting and a neutral, undistracting natural horizon line.
