About this asset

Klippad Sunrise 1 is an equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring a soft sunrise over a rocky, arid mountain valley landscape. This HDRI environment map captures a serene sunrise over a rugged, rocky hilltop. The scene is defined by earthy, natural tones, with textured stone outcrops in the foreground and a distant, scrub-covered mountain silhouette under a pale, early-morning sky. Light clouds are dispersed across the horizon, diffusing the rising sun and creating gentle, warm rays that provide soft, low-contrast illumination. The composition offers a wide-angle perspective suitable for expansive exterior visualisations, capturing the arid, quiet atmosphere of a remote desert-like environment without harsh shadows or intense highlights.

The download is a 6.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this file, load it directly into your renderer’s environment or world lighting slot as an equirectangular image. It provides high-dynamic-range data that will naturally influence the diffuse and specular reflections of your 3D assets. Adjust the intensity and rotation within your software to align the sun position with your scene’s primary light source. Because the lighting is soft and diffused, it works well as a base layer, which can be supplemented with additional area lights for sharper shadow definition.

This environment map is ideal for architectural visualisations requiring a natural, arid, or wilderness backdrop, such as remote residential retreats, eco-tourism projects, or landscape design proposals. It pairs effectively with projects featuring stone cladding, timber structures, or brutalist concrete forms that benefit from natural, ambient light. Professionals often search for this type of asset when developing exterior renders for hospitality or residential developments located in mountainous or desert regions where a calm, early-morning atmosphere is required to convey a sense of peaceful isolation.
