About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI environment provides high-dynamic-range lighting for outdoor scenes, featuring a bright clear sky. The environment captures a wide-angle, panoramic view of a rural hilltop construction site under a bright, cloudless midday sun. The foreground consists of natural textures including patches of dry grass, exposed soil, and gravel, transitioning into a vast valley vista with distant hills. The lighting is characterized by strong, directional sunlight that produces sharp shadows and high-contrast highlights, typical of clear weather conditions. This map is suitable for establishing realistic outdoor lighting and reflections in architectural visualizations where a natural, open-field setting is required to complement the site context.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine to establish both the primary light source and the background plate. Adjust the intensity and rotation within the software to align the sun position with the project's requirements. Because the file is delivered in equirectangular format, it maps seamlessly onto a spherical background, ensuring consistent lighting and reflections across all reflective surfaces in your 3D scene without further manual adjustment.

Ideal for landscape architecture, rural residential projects, and infrastructure development visualizations, this HDRI offers a realistic backdrop for site studies. It integrates well with projects that require a natural, unrefined setting, such as construction site progress renders or conceptual exterior views. Professionals can utilize this map to achieve accurate global illumination for projects situated in open, grassy environments. It pairs effectively with naturalistic vegetation assets and site-specific building models, providing a consistent light temperature and shadow direction for daytime exterior shots.
