Evening Sky HDRI 029 a

Evening Sky HDRI 029 A is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing diffuse, overcast natural lighting for 3D exterior scenes. This HDRI environment map features a wide-angle capture of a rural field under a dense, overcast evening sky. The light quality is soft and diffused, characteristic of heavy cloud cover, which eliminates harsh shadows and high-contrast highlights. The 360-degree panoramic coverage ensures consistent illumination and realistic reflections across all surfaces within a 3D scene. The image provides a neutral, cool-toned colour palette dominated by muted greys and deep greens of the landscape, making it an effective choice for projects requiring a somber, naturalistic atmosphere without specific directional sunlight.

The download is a 9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the file into the primary world or environment lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the exposure or intensity multiplier to match the scale of your scene, ensuring the background intensity aligns with your foreground geometry. Since this map contains both the light source and reflection data, it provides a unified lighting solution, reducing the need for additional artificial fill lights or complex sky systems during the initial visualisation phase.

This environment is well-suited for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design renderings, and automotive scenes where a soft, non-directional light is desired. It performs effectively in projects depicting rural, agricultural, or open-field settings. Professionals can use this map to establish a moody, overcast aesthetic in early-stage concept work or final presentation renders. It pairs well with weathered building materials, concrete, and natural vegetation, helping to ground objects within a realistic, atmospheric context while maintaining a balanced, professional lighting profile throughout the entire scene.
