Evening Sky HDRI 023 a

Evening Sky HDRI 023 A is a 2K environment map capturing a moody sunset over a field, providing realistic lighting for 3D renders. This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map features a wide-angle, panoramic capture of an overcast evening sky transitioning into sunset. The horizon line sits low, revealing a rural landscape with a ploughed field and rows of crops. The lighting is diffused, characterised by soft, cool grey tones in the clouds with a subtle, warm glow emerging at the horizon. This file includes integrated reference spheres—chrome, matte white, and blue—allowing for precise calibration of reflections, ambient occlusion, and colour accuracy within any professional rendering engine, ensuring consistent light distribution across complex 3D scenes.

The download is a 9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your rendering software. Adjust the rotation to align the sunset glow with the desired mood of your scene and modify the exposure settings to control the intensity of the ambient light. Because the image contains high-dynamic-range data, it provides both the background plate and the primary light source, eliminating the need for additional artificial light rigs while maintaining accurate, physically based reflections on all reflective surfaces.

This environment map is suited for exterior architectural visualisation, landscape design, and cinematic scene development where a natural, overcast evening atmosphere is required. It pairs effectively with rural, agricultural, or open-space project contexts, providing a realistic backdrop that integrates seamlessly with vegetation and earth-toned materials. Professionals searching for authentic outdoor lighting, dusk atmosphere, or field-based panoramic backgrounds will find this asset essential for achieving balanced, soft-light renders in residential or master-planning presentations, particularly when aiming for a calm, late-day aesthetic in outdoor settings.
