Day Sky HDRI 024a

Day Sky HDRI 024a is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic daylight illumination for architectural renders. This HDRI environment map features a panoramic capture of a rural landscape under a midday sky. The scene shows a flat agricultural field with a dirt path winding through the horizon, framed by light cloud cover. The lighting profile is diffuse yet directional, characteristic of an overcast day, which helps in creating soft shadows and natural light distribution in 3D scenes. The file provides a full 360-degree spherical projection, ensuring consistent reflections and ambient lighting for all objects within a virtual environment, regardless of the camera angle or orientation of the subject matter.

The download is a 9.7 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this asset, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the exposure intensity to match your scene's scale and light requirements. Because the map includes integrated reflection data, it automatically provides accurate environmental reflections on metallic or glossy surfaces. If necessary, rotate the environment map along the vertical axis to align the sun position or landscape features with your project's specific orientation and desired shadow direction for final exterior visualisations.

This environment is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for residential or landscape design projects located in rural or open settings. It works well for daylight scenes where a neutral, natural sky is required to ground the building within its context. Professionals use this for early-stage massing studies or final high-quality renders where realistic, soft-light interaction is needed. It pairs effectively with grass, soil, and agricultural textures to create a cohesive, site-specific atmosphere without requiring complex custom lighting rigs.
