About this asset

Framed in natural timber tones, this fixed right-triangle window Revit family features integrated perimeter casing and angled glazing. This window family models a right-angled triangular unit designed to fit pitched rooflines and raked wall assemblies. The geometry comprises an outer perimeter casing with mitred junction profiles, stepped interior sash framing, and a single triangular glazed pane. Finished in a warm natural wood tone with neutral glazing, the profile provides clear definition for interior reveals and exterior facades alike. The right angle anchors the vertical jamb and horizontal sill, creating a sharp hypotenuse reveal tailored to follow sloping ceiling structures or gable junctions cleanly without awkward clearances.

The download is a 512 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Built as a native Revit window component, the family loads directly into standard project templates. Insert the unit into any basic host wall where the geometry automatically cuts the required triangular opening. Users can adjust host positioning, align sill elevations to adjacent fenestration datum levels, and assign project-specific materials to the frame, sash, trim, and glass parameters for consistent scheduling and elevation representation across working drawings.

Tailored for residential architecture, boutique hospitality lodges, and timber-framed cabins, this triangular window complements clerestories, cathedral ceilings, and double-height living rooms. It pairs effectively with standard rectangular picture windows, multi-panel sliding doors, or flanking triangular clerestory units in gable ends. Architectural specifiers and technical modelers typically search for gable fenestration, rake head windows, right triangle clerestories, and sloped ceiling daylighting solutions when generating permit drawings and presentation renders.
