About this asset

Engineered for glazed building envelopes, this modern black metal awning window is a Revit family designed for curtain wall panel insertion. Modelled specifically for glazed facade systems, this operable awning window panel features a slim dark profile with an integrated central latch handle. The configuration incorporates outward projection swing geometry, denoted in orthographic views by standard regulatory dashed projection lines. Designed to replace standard infill panels, the unit integrates flush aluminium perimeter framing with central glazing. The understated black hardware provides a clean lever mechanism centered on the bottom rail, ensuring unobtrusive operation within continuous glass facades while maintaining neat exterior sightlines.

The download is a 2.5 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

To deploy this component in Revit, load the family directly into your project and swap standard curtain wall panels for this operable unit via the type selector or tab-selection. Verify hosting orientation using the exterior flip arrows to guarantee correct water drainage and hardware placement. Frame finishes and glass parameters can be scheduled alongside standard architectural window sets.

Essential for commercial high-rises, corporate offices, and contemporary residential towers, this curtain wall insert delivers natural ventilation without disrupting structural glazing aesthetics. It integrates cleanly into multi-storey stick-built systems, unitized facade assemblies, and storefront screens. Specifiers seeking an operable curtain wall window, maxim-ar sash, or top-hung ventilation insert will find it suitable from design development through construction documentation.
