About this asset

This elliptical direct set window is a Revit family featuring a low-rise arched profile and stepped perimeter casing for exterior openings. Geometrically defined by a wide, flattened elliptical arch over a horizontal sill, this direct set fixed window unit provides an expansive continuous glazed opening. The perimeter is articulated with multi-tiered exterior casing profiles that create refined shadow lines around the curved upper head and jambs. A muted beige-toned frame envelops a single large glazed panel depicted with a clear reflective cyan finish. The sill extends slightly past the outer jamb reveals to establish a clean base junction, maintaining consistent profile depth suited for pairing above standard entry doors.

The download is a 471 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed for seamless integration into architectural workflows, this wall-hosted Revit component inserts directly into standard exterior wall assemblies. Users can control installation height to align with door transoms, adjust wall cut behaviour, and assign custom project materials across separate glass and frame subcategories to maintain render consistency and accurate elevation schedules.

Commonly deployed in traditional residential architecture, custom villas, and suburban estates, this unit serves effectively as an elliptical transom above two-wide outswing entry doors or French patio systems. It complements grand foyers, front entrance porticos, and double-height living areas requiring daylight penetration while preserving structural wall proportion. Specifiers often combine it with matching casement or hinged patio door schedules to complete coordinated facade treatments across high-end bespoke dwellings.
