About this asset

This self-illuminating marble rectangular column is a Revit family featuring integrated light sources and a contemporary aesthetic. Designed for high-end interior applications, this column features a stack of square marble-clad segments separated by vertical glass panels that allow for internal illumination. The stone finish exhibits a classic grey veining pattern, providing a stark contrast to the translucent central core. The design includes distinct top, middle, and base cap sections, each finished in the same marble material to create a cohesive, monolithic appearance. This structural component serves as both a decorative architectural feature and a functional light source, suitable for spaces requiring a blend of luxury materials and ambient lighting effects.

The download is a 492 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a native Revit family, this column is loaded directly into the project environment via the Load Family command. Users can place the element in floor plan or 3D views, utilizing the base and top constraints to align with project levels. The integrated light source is managed through standard Revit light parameters, allowing for adjustment of intensity and colour temperature within the family type properties to suit specific lighting design requirements in the rendered output.

Ideal for luxury residential lobbies, hotel reception areas, or high-end retail showrooms, this illuminated column provides a focal point in contemporary interior design schemes. Professionals often specify this element to transition between open-plan living spaces or to define circulation paths in hospitality projects. It pairs effectively with polished stone flooring and minimalist architectural finishes.
