About this asset

This desktop fax machine is a lightweight Revit family designed with paper feed trays, an angled console, and a two-tone casing. Compact and utilitarian, this desktop telecommunications device features a boxy enclosure styled in two-tone white and grey plastic. The top face includes an angled control panel with button recesses and a document feed slot, alongside an upper output extension. Dual protruding paper output trays extend from the front face to support incoming transmissions or copies. The casing displays simplified geometric lines suitable for schematic representation, maintaining an efficient low-polygon footprint that cleanly defines the profile of legacy office equipment on tabletops, desks, and workstation credenzas.

The download is a 61 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Loading smoothly into Autodesk Revit projects, this specialty equipment component places directly onto work planes, desks, or level-based furniture surfaces. The lightweight file size ensures negligible overhead within comprehensive building models, facilitating rapid placement across multiple tenant floorplans without burdening system memory. Standard subcategory assignments enable visibility control across schematic layouts, equipment schedules, and interior elevation documentation.

Practical for commercial office fit-outs, medical clinics, government administrative facilities, and legal suites, this communication asset represents required legacy hardware in tenant improvement drawings. Specifiers frequently populate medical records rooms, reception desks, copy alcoves, and back-office workstations with dedicated telecommunications equipment. The element serves spatial coordination checks, FF&E scheduling, and schematic electrical power rough-in documentation where dedicated low-voltage or power drops must align with active tabletop equipment.
