About this asset

This natural grey stone landscape rock is a Revit family featuring a textured, irregular form ideal for site development projects. This landscape rock features an irregular, organic form typical of natural field stone. The surface is textured with variations in tone and depth, suggesting a weathered, granular appearance. Its geometry is designed to sit naturally within a site plan, providing a realistic, non-uniform element for outdoor landscaping designs. The model is lightweight, making it suitable for populating larger site areas without significantly impacting file performance. The irregular edges and subtle surface detailing provide a convincing sense of scale when placed alongside other site components like planting or paving in a masterplan.

The download is a 72 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is best utilized as a site component. Users can place multiple instances throughout a project, utilizing rotation and scaling tools to create a varied, non-repetitive appearance across garden beds, rockeries, or public realm designs. The geometry is optimized for site-level visualization, ensuring that it remains performant even when clustered. It is recommended to use this model within a dedicated site plan or 3D view to enhance the realism of external environment presentations.

Ideal for residential garden designs, urban park planning, and commercial landscape architecture, this rock component serves as an effective fill element for transitional spaces. Professionals can integrate it into site models to break up large areas of hardscaping or soft landscaping. It pairs well with native planting, gravel beds, or water features.
