About this asset

This Revit family provides a 2D symbol of the Madrid City Council coat of arms for use in architectural documentation and plans. The Escudo Ayuntamiento Madrid is a detailed 2D graphical representation of the official Madrid city crest. It features the iconic heraldic composition of the bear leaning against a strawberry tree, framed by a border adorned with stars and topped with a traditional crown. The linework is clean and precise, intended for use as a symbolic graphic in technical documentation. The geometry is flat and intended for 2D drafting views, ensuring it remains legible at various scales without unnecessary complexity. It is delivered as a standard component for consistent application across project drafting sets.

The download is a 481 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this file functions as a standard detail component or generic annotation family. Users can load the file directly into a project or drafting view to place it on floor plans, site plans, or title blocks. It is ideal for identifying municipal projects or adding context to site signage schemes. Because it is a 2D element, it will not appear in 3D views, keeping the model lightweight and focused on documentation requirements rather than rendering geometry.

This symbol is useful for architects and urban planners working on public realm projects, municipal buildings, or developments located within Madrid. It serves as a clear visual marker for city-sanctioned designs, wayfinding signage, or official project documentation. Architects typically place this on site plans or title blocks to indicate jurisdiction or municipal compliance. It pairs well with standard annotation symbols and can be scaled to fit specific layout requirements in construction documents, ensuring professional and accurate representation of local administrative identity.
