Industrial cast iron dome roof drain Revit family featuring a slotted dome strainer, clamping collar ring, and cylindrical drain body. This roof drain assembly consists of a heavy-duty circular cast iron body, an elevated overflow water dam collar, and a hemispherical slotted dome strainer. The slotted dome strainer is finished in a smooth semi-gloss black coating, designed with vertical apertures to prevent debris and leaves from obstructing rainwater intake. Secured beneath the dome via threaded fasteners, the wide retaining collar forms an integral gravel guard and flashing clamp ring. The stepped cast body terminates in a vertical bottom outlet connection, detailed with an exterior threaded cleanout plug and cast reinforcing lugs along the lower collar.
The download is a 297 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Designed for mechanical and plumbing modelling in Revit, this plumbing fixture family can be integrated directly into drainage and storm piping networks. Connect the downward pipe connector to vertical storm leader pipework within your plumbing discipline views. Visibility graphic settings allow the dome profile to display cleanly across roof plans, structural coordination models, and detailed MEP building sections.
Essential for commercial, industrial, and institutional flat roof construction, this roof drain component manages primary roof drainage and secondary overflow storm discharge. It coordinates seamlessly with built-up roofing membranes, parapet flashing details, and exterior rainwater leaders. Specifiers, public health engineers, and plumbing designers routinely integrate this element into storm drainage schedules, flat roof drainage layouts, and detailed mechanical roof coordination packages across multi-storey commercial developments.
