About this asset

This rustic brown metal barn outdoor wall light is a Revit family featuring a classic gooseneck arm and a weathered finish. The fixture features a traditional barn-style dome shade supported by a curved gooseneck arm, typical of industrial or farmhouse aesthetics. The finish has a textured, weathered brown appearance, suggesting a vintage or aged metal construction. The design includes a circular mounting plate that sits flush against the wall surface. The underside of the shade is engineered to direct light downward, creating a concentrated pool of illumination. Its proportions are compact, making it suitable for residential facades, porches, or commercial exterior entryways where a utilitarian yet decorative lighting element is required.

The download is a 276 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a native Revit family, this fixture is wall-hosted, allowing for easy placement on exterior facade elements or interior partitions. Users can adjust the light output and colour temperature within the family parameters to align with project-specific lighting schedules. The asset includes a light source definition for accurate photometric rendering within the Revit environment. It is recommended to use the alignment tools to ensure the mounting plate is correctly oriented to the host wall face for precise documentation.

This wall light is appropriate for residential projects, particularly farmhouse, cottage, or industrial-style renovations. It works well along exterior walkways, flanking doorways, or within covered porches to provide functional task lighting. Designers often specify this style for hospitality venues like cafes or boutique hotels that require a nostalgic, rustic aesthetic.
