Recessed Linear Light

This minimalist recessed linear light is a native Revit family designed for seamless integration into suspended ceiling systems. This recessed linear luminaire features a clean, low-profile design intended for flush installation within standard ceiling grids or plasterboard ceilings. The unit consists of a slender metal housing and a frosted plastic diffuser that provides even, diffused illumination. Its elongated, rectangular form factor allows for continuous runs or standalone installation, making it highly versatile for general lighting applications. The geometry is simple and functional, prioritising a discreet appearance that blends into the ceiling plane. All components are modelled to represent a standard architectural lighting fixture suitable for high-end commercial interiors.

The download is a 573 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a ceiling-hosted Revit family, this luminaire snaps directly to host surfaces, simplifying the placement process within reflected ceiling plans. Users can adjust the length and light output parameters to suit specific project requirements, ensuring accurate lighting calculations and schedules. The family is built with standard connectors for electrical circuiting, allowing for seamless integration into MEP models. Proper light source placement ensures that photorealistic renders benefit from realistic illumination patterns, while nested detail components maintain clean graphical representation in 2D documentation.
