About this asset

This modern floor lamp is a Revit family featuring a tall cylindrical paper shade supported by a minimalist timber base structure. This floor lamp features a striking, elongated cylindrical form wrapped in a textured white paper shade that provides diffused, soft ambient lighting. The shade is held in place by a simple, dark-stained timber base, which creates a clean intersection between the organic paper texture and the rigid lines of the wood frame. The proportions are slender and vertical, making it an ideal choice for adding height to a room without overwhelming the space. Its design emphasizes simplicity and material contrast, relying on the interplay of light and texture to define its presence.

The download is a 297 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a Revit family, this luminaire is designed for placement on floor-hosted surfaces. Users can easily integrate this into interior lighting plans by loading the RFA file into the project browser and placing it in floor plan or 3D views. It utilizes standard electrical connection points, allowing for seamless integration with light switches and circuit schedules. When rendering, ensure the light source is correctly mapped to the internal geometry to achieve the desired soft glow effect typical of paper-shaded fixtures.

This floor lamp works effectively in contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites where soft, atmospheric lighting is required. It pairs well with minimalist or Japandi-style furniture, providing a warm focal point in corners or beside seating arrangements. Professional designers often search for this type of fixture when specifying lighting for residential projects or boutique hospitality environments that favor natural materials and understated silhouettes. It is particularly useful for creating a sense of calm and visual interest in high-end, uncluttered interior design schemes.
