About this asset

Traditional timber study desk modeled as a Revit family, featuring a stacked four-drawer pedestal and an integrated multi-compartment upper hutch. Constructed with a warm, natural wood grain finish, this compact writing desk combines dedicated organization with traditional detailing. The left flank incorporates a vertical pedestal housing four uniform drawers, each framed with raised perimeter moulding and small circular hardware pulls. Above the primary work surface, an integrated hutch features a shaped pediment backboard, angled side profiles, and six distinct pigeonhole cubbies for stationery, books, and reference documents. The right side remains open for seating ergonomics, anchored by squared solid wood legs reinforced with low-profile horizontal perimeter stretchers.

The download is a 1.3 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Engineered for straightforward placement within building information workflows, this native Revit family inserts as a freestanding furniture component. Users can position it directly onto floor levels in plan views or interior elevations. Model geometry integrates cleanly into schedule extractions for furniture, fixtures, and equipment specifications, while custom wood material assets can be assigned through the project materials browser to match existing interior schemes.

Ideal for residential bedrooms, home office spaces, student accommodation, and traditional private study environments. The compact footprint fits neatly against perimeter walls or tucked under windows. Specifiers regularly pair this writing station with classic wooden side chairs, task lamps, and wall-mounted shelving. Architects searching for traditional timber desk, student workstation, or study desk with cubbies will find it well suited to residential interior staging and educational housing layouts.
