This mid-century bentwood butterfly stool Revit family features twin curved molded plywood shells joined by a slender metal stretcher. Sculptural in silhouette, the piece is formed from two symmetrically mirrored sheets of curved plywood that flare upwards into an ergonomic seat and outwards into supporting legs. A warm natural wood veneer reveals subtle grain across the curved surfaces, complemented by dark exposed plies along the edges. A thin horizontal metal rod and discreet fastening hardware secure the two halves beneath the seat junction, preserving the visual lightness and organic geometry of the iconic Japanese modernist form.
The download is a 256 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load this component directly into your Revit project to populate floor plans, interior elevations, and perspective views. Place the family directly onto level hosts or floor finishes in residential and hospitality schemes. Material parameters allow quick assignment of distinct wood grain finishes or alternate timber species to harmonize with specific interior finishes palettes.
Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, walk-in closets, and executive lounge zones, this accent seating element functions equally well as a standalone art piece or supplementary vanity stool. Interior designers often specify such low wooden stools beside low platform beds, minimalist credenzas, or modern armchairs during concept presentations, detailed layout documentation, and high-resolution marketing renderings.
