Japanese Beige Modular Tatami Mat Set

Japanese woven tatami mat layout modelled as a Revit family, featuring five distinct panel compartments bordered by a dark timber perimeter frame. This floor assembly presents a traditional modular arrangement consisting of five rectangular and square tatami panels bound within a dark charcoal timber border. Each woven rush insert displays characteristic linear straw ribbing with soft perimeter bevels that mimic the gentle compression of natural igusa grass weaving. The composition balances varying aspect ratios, pairing a primary large rectangular section alongside complementary horizontal runners and square module infills. The dark bordering framework creates crisp demarcation lines between individual mats, delivering an authentic washitsu flooring feature with realistic tactile grain and clean geometric alignment.

The download is a 707 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Architects and interior modellers can insert this Revit family directly onto floor slabs, raised platforms, or recessed sub-bases across project views. Material parameters allow easy mapping adjustments for woven grass textures and border frame finishes to coordinate with practice render templates. Geometry aligns smoothly in floor plans, ensuring clean visual representation in design documentation, internal elevations, and perspective interior visualisations without excessive geometry overhead.
