About this asset

This wall-hosted stone recessed niche is a native Revit family designed for seamless integration into bathroom and shower wall assemblies. This recessed wall niche features a rectangular horizontal form, finished in a speckled light-grey and beige stone material. Designed to be set flush within a partition or shower wall, the unit provides a clean, integrated storage solution for toiletries. The construction consists of a simple box frame with a defined perimeter edge that sits proud of the surrounding wall surface. Its proportions are suited for standard shower wall heights, offering a functional and minimalist aesthetic that eliminates the need for protruding shelves or external storage hardware in wet room environments.

The download is a 389 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a wall-hosted Revit family, this component automatically cuts the host wall upon placement. Users can adjust the depth and dimensions through the properties palette to match specific wall thicknesses and tile layout requirements. Once inserted, the material parameters allow for easy swapping of the stone texture to coordinate with the project's specific tile or slab specifications. It is best placed within a wall section or elevation view to ensure correct alignment with the finished floor level and tile grid.

Ideally suited for residential bathrooms, luxury hotel suites, and spa design projects, this niche serves as a practical storage shelf for shower areas or vanity walls. It is frequently specified by interior designers and architects looking to maintain a clutter-free, minimalist aesthetic in wet rooms. When documenting, use terms such as recessed shower shelf, stone niche, or integrated bathroom storage to locate this component within your BIM library. It pairs effectively with natural stone wall cladding, ceramic tile finishes, and contemporary concealed-valve shower systems.
