About this asset

This modern grey plastic laptop is a Revit family asset designed for detailed workspace staging in architectural BIM projects. The laptop features a clean, contemporary aesthetic with a standard open-hinge configuration. Constructed from a neutral grey plastic, the model includes a simplified keyboard layout, a clear trackpad area, and a flat screen panel. Its geometry is lightweight, focusing on form rather than high-poly hardware detail, making it ideal for populating desks and tables in BIM models without impacting file performance. The proportions are consistent with standard 15-inch portable computing devices, providing a realistic sense of scale for interior visualisations within professional design documentation and project presentations.

The download is a 563 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is best utilised as a component for interior staging. Insert the model into your project using the 'Place a Component' tool and host it on top of desks, meeting tables, or reception counters. Because of its lightweight geometry, it is suitable for both schematic and detailed design phases. You can easily manage visibility by assigning it to a dedicated furniture or decor subcategory within your project's object styles to control its appearance in different view templates.

This asset is essential for interior designers and architects working on office fit-outs, residential home-office layouts, or commercial lobby visualisations. It provides the necessary clutter to make a digital workspace feel lived-in and functional. Professionals can pair this with various desk types, task chairs, and other technology accessories like monitors or docking stations. Search for this model when needing quick, effective props for client-facing renderings or to add a layer of realism to your BIM documentation and interior design project submissions.
