About this asset

This Revit family of industrial string lights features suspended Edison bulbs on a black cable for atmospheric interior lighting. These string lights feature a series of clear glass Edison-style bulbs spaced along a flexible black cable. The design mimics traditional festoon or bistro lighting, offering a warm, decorative glow suitable for accentuating architectural features. The bulbs are suspended at varying intervals, creating a relaxed, informal aesthetic. The metal fixtures holding the bulbs appear slim and minimalist, ensuring the focus remains on the visible filaments of the lamps. This assembly is designed to be draped across ceiling spaces, providing a versatile solution for ambient lighting in both indoor and semi-outdoor environments.

The download is a 2.3 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Users can load this RFA file into a project as a line-based or path-based family to easily span across ceiling grids or structural beams. The luminaire parameters allow for adjusting the spacing between bulbs and the overall length of the cable. Once placed, designers can control the light output and colour temperature via the family’s material and light source properties to achieve the desired illumination intensity within a rendered scene or interior elevation.

Ideal for residential interior design, this lighting set works well in open-plan living areas, covered terraces, or sunrooms to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. It is frequently specified in hospitality projects, such as boutique cafes, restaurants, or hotel lobbies, where a relaxed, industrial vibe is required. Architects and interior designers often pair these lights with timber finishes or exposed brickwork to enhance the rustic aesthetic. Professionals searching for decorative accent lighting for event spaces or casual dining areas will find this asset highly useful.
