About this asset

Engineered for storefronts and modern facades, this Revit bifold curtain wall door family features slim grey profiles with multi-leaf folding panels. The model exhibits a six-panel concertina configuration divided symmetrically into two stacks of three hinged leaves folding outward toward each jamb. Clean, rectangular extruded aluminium frame sections wrap around expansive glazed panels with crisp perimeter seals. The dark grey metallic finish on the stiles, rails, and outer jamb track offers sharp contrast against the clear light blue tinted glass. Each leaf maintains consistent narrow sightlines, presenting a clean architectural aesthetic that accommodates wide openings while minimising stacked footprint depth when retracted.

The download is a 369 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit projects, insert this family directly into compatible curtain wall system panels or standard rough openings according to your project schedule. Assign project-specific materials to the frame and glazing subcategories through the type or instance parameter dialog to match project facade finishes. The model cleanly integrates into elevation drawings, section callouts, and interior perspectives, ensuring clear graphical representation across standard architectural documentation sheets.

This folding glass system suits contemporary residential patios, retail storefronts, boutique hotel indoor-outdoor lounges, and restaurant terraces requiring seamless transitions between interior spaces and exterior environments. The family functions effectively in full building envelope documentation and archviz presentation renderings. Designers frequently specify this configuration when searching for exterior bifold systems, concertina glazed doors, accordion patio doors, and aluminium curtain wall insert panels for transitional hospitality spaces.
