About this asset

Contemporary louvred bifold door Revit family featuring four tall timber folding leaves with central glazing and upper and lower slatted ventilation panels. The assembly is structured as a large four-leaf folding door set within a surrounding structural perimeter frame. Each tall leaf features a tripartite vertical composition: an upper section filled with closely spaced horizontal timber louvres, a tall central rectangular clear vision lite with indicated swing direction lines, and a matching louvred base panel. The warm orange-brown frame finish defines clean sightlines between the individual leaves and the header track. Proportioned for substantial structural rough openings measuring 3750 mm wide by 3500 mm high, the leaf layout provides effective airflow while maintaining visual transparency.

The download is a 563 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed for Revit workflows, this component inserts directly into hosting wall assemblies as a wall-hosted opening. Model geometry responds cleanly in standard floor plans, interior elevations, and section cuts, displaying correct 2D swing conventions alongside 3D leaf models. Materials for glass, frames, and louvre slats can be assigned in the family type properties to coordinate with architectural renderers like Enscape or V-Ray.

Suited for high-ceilinged residential villas, luxury resort pavilions, coastal retreats, and boutique hospitality dining areas, this unit bridges interior living zones and exterior covered terraces or verandas. It works particularly well in tropical modern, Mediterranean, and contemporary architectural contexts requiring natural ventilation alongside daylighting. Architects specifying operable partition walls, timber louvred folding screens, or expansive glazed terrace doors will find this opening configuration ideal for detailed interior elevations and construction documentation packages.
