About this asset

This 3ds Max model features a single bare deciduous tree with light snow dusting, suitable for winter-themed architectural visualisations. The model depicts a deciduous tree in its winter state, characterized by a complex, leafless branch structure and a textured, rough-barked trunk. Light patches of snow are distributed across the upper branches and trunk, adding realism for cold-climate scenes. The proportions are balanced, reflecting a mature specimen with a natural, irregular canopy spread. The geometry captures the intricate density of fine twigs, which is essential for maintaining visual depth in exterior renders. This asset provides a high level of detail, allowing for close-up shots while remaining efficient enough for inclusion in broader streetscape or garden compositions.

The download is a 175 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this tree is typically managed as a proxy or a high-density mesh to maintain viewport performance. Users should ensure the material library is correctly linked upon import to preserve the bark and snow shaders. When placing the asset, scaling can be adjusted to suit the surrounding site context, and it is recommended to use scattering tools for creating naturalistic clusters in larger landscape projects. Lighting should be configured to match the ambient, diffused quality of a winter overcast day.

This asset is designed for architectural visualisations requiring seasonal variation, particularly for exterior residential or urban projects set in winter. It integrates seamlessly into street scenes, park designs, or private garden backdrops. Professionals often use such models to establish atmospheric mood in cold-weather renders, pairing them with wet pavement textures or low-light environmental settings. It is an essential component for site plans that demand a realistic, temperate-zone aesthetic during the colder months of the year, enhancing the overall project narrative and environmental accuracy.
