About this asset

This contemporary indoor Strelitzia Nicolai plant in a concrete pot is a SketchUp model featuring realistic broad green foliage. The model represents a Strelitzia Nicolai, commonly known as the giant white bird of paradise, characterised by its large, paddle-shaped leaves arranged in a fan-like structure. The foliage exhibits varying shades of deep and vibrant green, with subtle texture mapping on the leaf surfaces to simulate natural veins and organic irregularities. The plant is housed in a simple, tapered cylindrical pot rendered with a light grey, porous concrete finish. The soil surface is depicted with a fine, dark granular texture, providing a neutral base that grounds the overall composition.

The download is a 6.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp model, use the import function to bring the file into your active project. Given its file size, it is well-optimised for background placement or as a focal point in interior visualisations. Users should check the component hierarchy to ensure materials are correctly mapped, as the leaf textures may require adjustment to suit specific lighting conditions or render engine settings. Scale the object relative to your architectural scene to maintain realistic proportions for interior staging.

This potted plant is suited for residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, or hotel reception areas where a touch of organic greenery is required to soften architectural lines. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture and neutral material palettes, such as raw concrete or light timber. Architects and interior designers often utilise such assets during the design development phase to provide scale and visual interest in 3D renders.
