About this asset

A contemporary potted ficus tree model for SketchUp, featuring a dense canopy and a distinctive white ceramic planter with a textured finish. This high-detail botanical asset consists of a standard ficus tree with a braided trunk and a lush, rounded canopy of foliage. The plant is housed in a tall, cylindrical planter finished in a matte white glaze. The surface of the pot is detailed with a repeating, tactile honeycomb-style geometric texture that provides subtle visual interest without distracting from the plant itself. The soil surface is represented with a realistic dark, organic texture, creating a complete, ready-to-place interior greenery element that maintains a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for professional architectural visualisation.

The download is an 11.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this asset is typically handled as a component to keep the model file size manageable. Users should place the component into the scene and ensure it is set to a proper layer or tag for visibility control. The texture maps for the foliage and the ceramic planter are ready for immediate rendering, though users may need to re-link paths if the model is moved. It is recommended to use an HDRI environment for accurate light interaction with the plant's leaves.

This potted ficus is ideal for filling dead corners in residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, or hotel reception areas. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral interior palettes, providing a necessary organic contrast to clean architectural lines. Professionals often search for this type of asset when staging interior renders to add life and scale to a space. It works effectively in both mid-century and contemporary design schemes, providing a versatile greenery option for high-end residential or commercial project visualisations.
