About this asset

This SketchUp model features a modern vertical garden wall with natural wood framing and tiered shelving for indoor planting. Constructed from light-toned natural timber, this vertical planter wall features a clean, horizontal slatted frame designed to support multiple levels of greenery. The structure consists of six distinct tiers, each providing a dedicated ledge for vegetation, allowing for a layered, lush appearance. The timber framework is simple and functional, with visible joinery at the ends of each horizontal rail. The proportions are balanced, creating a wide, screen-like profile that serves as both a botanical display and a semi-transparent room divider, suitable for various interior settings where natural textures and biophilic elements are desired.

The download is a 17.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, treat the planter as a single component to manage geometry efficiently. Use the scale tool to adjust the width and height to fit specific wall dimensions, ensuring the wood grain texture remains aligned. Because the vegetation is grouped within the tiers, you can easily swap out the plant species or adjust the density by modifying individual nested groups, maintaining a lightweight file size while achieving a realistic, curated look for your interior visualisations.

This vertical garden is highly effective for biophilic design schemes in residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, or boutique hotel reception areas. It functions well as a decorative partition between spaces or as a feature wall in a cafe or restaurant setting. Designers often search for this type of unit as a living wall or room divider to soften hard architectural lines, pairing it with other natural materials like stone flooring or concrete accents to enhance the overall contemporary, organic aesthetic.
