About this asset

This Japanese potted bonsai tree set for SketchUp features two distinct, intricately detailed miniature trees with rock accents. These two bonsai specimens exhibit classic cascading and windswept forms, each anchored within a minimalist dark ceramic vessel. The first tree is paired with a jagged, vertical stone formation, while the second rests against a smoother, weathered rock. The foliage is rendered with fine, needle-like textures, and the base of each pot is covered in a vibrant green moss layer. The natural wood tones of the trunks contrast with the cool grey of the stones, creating a balanced aesthetic suitable for high-end interior visualisations where authentic, organic detail is required.

The download is a 43.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, import these assets as components to maintain file efficiency. Use the scale tool carefully to ensure the trees fit the proportions of your specific interior scene. Because these models contain complex geometry, it is recommended to place them on a dedicated layer or tag to toggle their visibility during the modelling phase. You can apply high-quality render-ready materials to the foliage to enhance realism when using external plugins like V-Ray or Enscape for final output.

These bonsai trees are ideal for adding a sense of calm and precision to interior design projects. They work effectively in zen-inspired living rooms, minimalist home offices, or as focal points on sideboards and reception desks in hospitality settings. Professionals frequently use these assets to soften architectural lines in contemporary or Japanese-style spaces, pairing them with natural timber furniture or stone surfaces to reinforce a biophilic design approach. They are particularly useful for final stage renders where atmospheric detail is critical.
