About this asset

Modern minimalist disc pendant light provided as a 3ds Max model, featuring dual layered white reflectors with a slender black suspension assembly. The fixture showcases a sculptural suspension profile defined by two stacked, shallow conical reflectors finished in matte white. Light emanates between the layered discs, casting soft indirect illumination across horizontal planes. A slim central rod passes through the shades, terminating in a cylindrical black metal counterweight or finial at the base. From the circular black ceiling canopy, fine tension cables suspend the luminaire assembly with clean vertical lines. The paired composition highlights balanced geometric proportions, contrasting the broad circular diffuser plates against delicate suspension hardware.

The download is a 2.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed natively for 3ds Max, the geometry merges cleanly into interior master scenes via standard xref or file merge workflows. The suspension wire geometry can be trimmed or extended parametrically to suit varied ceiling heights and room volumes. Materials allow quick adjustment between self-illuminated mesh emitters or separate photometric light sources placed within the central shade cavity to control photometric falloff.

This suspension luminaire suits architectural visualization across residential dining rooms, kitchen islands, and contemporary breakfast nooks. Within commercial and hospitality schemes, the clean architectural profile enhances hotel reception desks, executive boardroom tables, and cafe seating zones. Visualizers can deploy single units or linear repetitions above long counters, pairing seamlessly with minimalist joinery, natural stone surfaces, and monochromatic interior palettes across schematic presentation and final client rendering stages.
