About this asset

Suspended by dual slender cables, this modern linear spotlight pendant 3ds Max model features six adjustable two-tone cylindrical light heads. The luminaire comprises an elongated rectangular ceiling canopy suspended via two slim cables to an open tubular perimeter frame. A short vertical divider reinforces the centre of the frame. Arranged along the lower horizontal rail, six compact cylindrical spotlights feature contrasting white upper bands and matte black cylindrical barrels housing recessed emitters. Several spotlights are individually tilted at varying angles across the horizontal span, demonstrating the articulation of each head. The clean geometric outlines and monochrome palette produce a technical architectural aesthetic suitable for directed task illumination.

The download is a 4.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, import the asset directly into the interior scene and position the canopy flush against the ceiling plane. Suspension cables can be adjusted along the Z-axis to align with local datum lines or table heights. Spot components can be rotated individually to aim directional light sources, allowing users to attach photometric ies profiles or mesh lights inside the recessed barrels to simulate realistic downward and accented illumination.

Suited to contemporary residential and commercial schemes, this linear fitting functions effectively suspended above long dining tables, kitchen islands, conference boards, or executive desks. Designers frequently incorporate this type of articulated linear luminaire within minimalist retail showrooms, creative co-working spaces, and hospitality reception desks where targeted downlighting is required. The restrained industrial profile pairs seamlessly with cast concrete slabs, acoustic timber slat ceilings, and solid quartz worktops.
