About this asset

Japandi drum pendant light 3ds Max model features a neutral linen fabric shade enclosed by an organic bentwood support frame and slim black cable. The luminaire showcases an open cylindrical form defined by a textured, woven beige fabric shade mounted within a light timber skeleton. Four bentwood ribs arch upward and cross at the apex, providing both structural scaffolding and visual rhythm with their soft rounded profiles. At the core, a central black drop cable terminates in a bare light bulb nestled inside the drum cavity. The shade material conveys tactile translucency, while the clean wooden joinery and minimal black ceiling canopy strike a balanced harmony between natural warmth and graphic modern detailing.

The download is a 63 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Import the geometry directly into 3ds Max scenes and adjust the suspension cable height to suit specific ceiling elevations. Separated mesh elements facilitate straightforward shader assignment, enabling accurate tuning of two-sided translucency on the linen diffuser for ambient transmission. Placing a photometric or spherical light source within the modeled bulb geometry projects soft illumination onto surrounding surfaces without complicating rendering times.

Suited to residential dining rooms, scandinavian living spaces, tranquil bedrooms, and boutique hospitality interiors such as cafes or hotel lounges. It hangs effectively as an accent fixture above circular dining tables, kitchen islands, or low coffee tables, pairing seamlessly with neutral plaster, light oak millwork, and tactile textiles. Search queries typically include Japandi pendant lamp, linen drum chandelier, wooden hanging light fixture, and organic modern ceiling luminaire.
