About this asset

This minimalist white kitchen island for SketchUp features a sleek, compact design with two horizontal black recessed storage handles. The island presents a clean, rectangular silhouette with rounded vertical edges, finished in a matte white laminate or painted surface. It incorporates two distinct horizontal recessed channels in black, which serve as integrated handles for concealed drawers or storage compartments. The proportions are compact, making it suitable for smaller footprints or as a supplementary prep station. The base sits flush with the floor, maintaining a seamless, uninterrupted aesthetic that aligns with contemporary minimalist interiors. The construction appears to be a robust unit designed to provide both functional storage and a clean, unobtrusive visual presence.

The download is a 54 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured as a single component, allowing for quick placement within your kitchen layout. You can easily adjust the material mapping on the primary surfaces to match your specific cabinetry finish. Ensure the island is positioned on a dedicated layer or tag to manage visibility during the design process. The model is scaled to standard ergonomic heights, but you may need to adjust the placement to align precisely with your existing floor plan and surrounding cabinetry modules.

This island is ideal for modern residential kitchen designs, particularly those requiring a compact, space-saving solution. It pairs well with minimalist dining sets and contemporary bar stools. Architects and interior designers will find it useful for rapid prototyping in early-stage residential projects or for populating kitchen renders where a clean, non-branded storage unit is necessary.
