Contemporary Charcoal and Timber Kitchen Scene with Island

A contemporary kitchen scene in 3ds Max featuring charcoal cabinetry, timber accents, and a marble-topped island with bar stools. This comprehensive kitchen interior scene features a sophisticated, minimalist aesthetic defined by matte charcoal full-height cabinetry contrasted with warm timber-finish wall units. A central kitchen island acts as the focal point, topped with a stone-effect surface and supported by three slender black metal bar stools. The backsplash is finished in a dramatic white marble with pronounced grey veining, illuminated by integrated under-cabinet lighting. The layout includes built-in stainless steel appliances, a recessed shelving unit for display, and a modern linear pendant light fixture, creating a cohesive, high-end residential environment.

The download is a 125 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with V-Ray materials. Open it in 3ds Max with V-Ray installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene is structured with logical layer management for individual elements including the cabinetry, island, lighting, and accessories. Professionals can merge this file into larger architectural projects, adjusting the material library to match specific project colour palettes. The lighting setup relies on a combination of ambient and task-oriented emissive materials, which can be tweaked via the material editor to align with specific render engine requirements. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement and alignment within a broader floor plan.
