Japanese Zen Garden Wood Decking with Lotus Pond

This Japanese Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features realistic timber decking, a lotus water feature, and bamboo planting. This composed Zen garden scene showcases a linear timber deck constructed from vertical wood slats, finished in a natural weathered tone. The platform integrates a low-profile water feature containing lotus flowers and lily pads. Stone elements include traditional garden lanterns and decorative boulders placed along the water edge. The backdrop consists of vertical lattice screens and a minimalist wall scroll featuring calligraphy. Lush bamboo clusters anchor the composition, providing height and texture. Every element is arranged to create a tranquil, balanced aesthetic suitable for high-end architectural visualisation projects requiring authentic Japanese design motifs.

The download is a 19 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene is structured for immediate integration into larger architectural projects. Users can merge the file directly into their master scene, ensuring that the V-Ray or Corona materials remain correctly mapped. The vegetation and water components are organised on logical layers, allowing for easy adjustment of density or material overrides. Lighting should be set up using an HDRI or daylight system to complement the natural tones of the timber and stone textures, maintaining the intended serene atmosphere.
