Fabric Contemporary Brown and Grey Open-Plan Living Room Scene

This contemporary open-plan living room scene for 3ds Max features a sophisticated palette of brown and grey with a timber screen. Defined by a balanced, layered aesthetic, this interior scene centres on a large sectional sofa upholstered in contrasting grey and brown fabric. Behind the seating area, a floor-to-ceiling vertical timber slat screen serves as an architectural room divider, providing visual separation while maintaining an airy feel. The space is anchored by a low-profile coffee table with a dark marble top and rich wooden frame. A dark, veined marble feature wall adds depth, while integrated ceiling lighting and a minimalist wooden fan complete the high-end, cohesive look of this modern residential living space.

The download is a 203 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for rapid architectural visualisation, this 3ds Max scene is structured for immediate rendering. Users should check the layer organisation to toggle individual elements like the timber screen or furniture pieces for customisation. Materials are mapped to standard physical shaders, allowing for easy adjustment of reflection or bump parameters if required. Lighting setups are pre-configured to simulate natural and artificial light, though users may need to re-link texture paths depending on the local directory structure of their project files.

This scene is ideal for residential interior design projects, particularly for high-end apartment or villa presentations. It provides a ready-to-use template for showcasing contemporary design concepts, spatial planning, and material palettes. Professionals can use this setup to quickly populate a living area, saving time on modelling complex architectural features like the integrated slat partition. It pairs well with neutral palettes and dark-toned accent furniture, making it a versatile choice for client-facing renders where a sophisticated, lived-in atmosphere is essential.
