About this asset

This contemporary living room scene for 3ds Max features a sophisticated dark palette and integrated bedroom layout. Defined by a moody, monochromatic aesthetic, this interior scene balances dark charcoal surfaces with warm natural wood flooring. The layout includes a low-profile sectional sofa in a textured fabric, paired with a circular coffee table that features a thin metal frame and timber top. A sleek, wall-to-wall media console anchors the television area, while floor-to-ceiling curtains provide soft light diffusion. The space is partitioned by a slim-profile metal and glass screen, creating a semi-private transition into the adjacent sleeping zone, which is finished in matching dark tones for a cohesive, high-end residential look.

The download is a 253 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

As a pre-configured 3ds Max environment, this file is intended for use as a base for architectural visualisation projects. Users can merge this scene into existing models or use it as a reference for lighting setups and material layering. The scene includes pre-assigned textures, camera angles, and interior lighting, allowing for immediate test renders. Adjusting the exposure values and light intensities within the native renderer will help match the scene to specific project requirements, ensuring a streamlined workflow from setup to final output.

This asset is ideal for residential interior design visualisation, particularly for modern apartment developments or high-end studio flats. It serves as a valuable resource for architects and visualisers needing to quickly populate a living area with a contemporary, cohesive look. Professionals can use this scene to demonstrate dark, atmospheric design concepts to clients or to study the interplay of light and shadow in compact floor plans, pairing it with additional decor elements to further personalise the space for specific project briefs.
