About this asset

This minimalist console cabinet, created in 3ds Max, features a white frame and an open natural wood interior with rattan storage baskets. This low-profile console cabinet presents a clean, architectural form defined by a solid matte white outer casing. The central void reveals a natural wood interior, featuring a slatted back panel and a single horizontal shelf. The lower section includes two woven rattan baskets with fabric liners, providing texture and functional storage. The upper level offers space for books or decorative objects. The design balances smooth, opaque surfaces with the warmth of timber and organic weave, resulting in a versatile piece that maintains a light visual footprint within a contemporary interior space.

The download is a 61.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise floor-level placement. The geometry is organised into logical layers, allowing for the easy separation of the rattan baskets from the main cabinet structure. Apply standard PBR materials to the wood and white finish to ensure realistic light interaction. For optimal rendering results, use a neutral HDRI setup that highlights the subtle differences between the matte casing and the natural wood textures within the open shelving unit.

Ideal for residential projects, this console cabinet works well in entryways, living areas, or bedrooms where low-profile storage is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist decor and soft, organic textiles. Professionals searching for functional joinery or hallway furniture will find this asset useful for staging home interiors. It sits comfortably in Scandinavian or Japandi-style schemes, adding practical storage without cluttering the visual field. Use this piece to anchor a wall composition or as a standalone element in a contemporary residential hallway design.
