About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a set of layered fabric curtains, combining solid white drapes with sheer blue panels. The asset consists of two distinct curtain configurations, each featuring a layered design. The outer layer comprises opaque white fabric drapes, gathered at the side with a tie-back detail, while the inner layer features a lighter, sheer blue fabric that hangs straight. The folds and drapes are modelled to provide a natural, soft aesthetic suitable for realistic interior visualisations. The proportions are designed for standard residential window heights, offering a clean, balanced look that adds depth to window treatments within a 3D scene without overwhelming the architectural space.

The download is an 11.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, import this component directly into your model to populate window areas. Use the scale tool to adjust the height and width to fit specific window openings accurately. The curtains are organised into groups, allowing for easy adjustment of the individual layers. Apply custom material textures to the fabric faces to achieve specific fabric finishes or translucency settings within your preferred rendering engine. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated window treatment layer to maintain model organisation.

These curtains are suitable for residential projects, including bedrooms, living rooms, and dining areas where a layered window treatment is desired. They also function well in hospitality settings like hotel suites or boutique guest rooms to provide a soft, finished appearance. Use these in the design development or presentation stages to enhance the realism of interior views. They pair effectively with modern or transitional furniture styles and can be searched for using terms like window dressing, interior drapes, or fabric curtains.
