About this asset

This mid-century lounge chair 3ds Max model features a solid walnut timber frame paired with a woven rattan seat and backrest. Defined by clean, geometric lines, this lounge chair showcases a robust dark walnut frame that supports a woven rattan seat and back panel. The design emphasizes natural materials, with the intricate texture of the cane webbing providing a visual contrast to the smooth, rectilinear wood structure. Proportions are low and wide, typical of mid-century lounge seating, with a slightly reclined backrest for comfort. All joints are integrated into the frame, creating a seamless, minimalist aesthetic that highlights the craftsmanship of the timber joinery and the organic quality of the rattan inserts.

The download is a 14 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The model is provided as a single object, allowing for straightforward insertion into 3ds Max scenes. Users should check the pivot point for correct placement relative to floor levels. The texture mapping for the rattan is applied to capture the depth of the weave, while the walnut material is set up for standard material editors. Scaling should be verified against standard seat heights to ensure consistency with other furniture assets within the project file environment before finalizing the rendering setup.

Ideally suited for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks, this lounge chair adds a warm, tactile element to contemporary interior spaces. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables, textured wool rugs, and minimalist side tables. Professionals searching for authentic mid-century or organic modern seating will find this piece useful for creating inviting, human-centric vignettes in architectural visualisations. Its neutral palette allows for seamless integration into various design schemes, ranging from warm minimalist to eclectic residential interiors.
