About this asset

This modern vertical slat blind SketchUp model features slim black metal louvres, providing a clean, architectural aesthetic for window glazing. Designed with a series of parallel, vertical metal slats, this blind system offers a sharp, linear profile suitable for contemporary interior schemes. The uniform spacing between the slats allows for controlled light diffusion, creating dramatic shadow play across interior surfaces when sunlight hits the window. The model consists of a repeating modular element that can be scaled to fit various window widths and heights. The finish is a matte black, providing a high-contrast look that sits well against light-coloured walls or within industrial-inspired spaces where metallic textures are preferred for their durability and visual impact.

The download is a 66.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should import this component into the SketchUp model and align it with the window frame geometry. Given the repetitive nature of the slats, it is best practice to keep the model as a single group or component to maintain viewport performance. Adjust the overall width by scaling or duplicating the slat modules along the horizontal axis. Apply material overrides if a different metallic finish or colour is required to match the specific project palette during the rendering setup.

These blinds are ideal for residential living rooms, modern home offices, or high-end commercial lobby spaces where a minimalist window treatment is required. They pair effectively with floor-to-ceiling glazing or large rectangular windows to enhance the verticality of a room. Professionals searching for 'architectural window coverings', 'linear metal blinds', or 'modern slat systems' will find this asset useful for both early-stage design visualisation and final high-fidelity interior renders. The design is particularly effective in spaces that require a sophisticated, clean-lined aesthetic.
