About this asset

This 3ds Max model of a tropical banana plant features lush green foliage housed in a textured woven pot atop a wire metal stand. The model represents a large-leafed banana plant, displaying realistic foliage with characteristic veining and natural variations in leaf orientation. The plant is set within a rustic, woven-style basket planter, which provides a textural contrast to the smooth, broad leaves. This planter sits securely on a lightweight, circular wire-frame stand, designed with a delicate, geometric aesthetic that elevates the plant. The overall composition balances organic, soft greenery with the clean, linear structure of the metal base, making it a versatile decorative asset for interior spaces that require a touch of natural life.

The download is a 43 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single proxy or grouped object to maintain viewport performance. Users should ensure the pivot point is set at the base of the metal stand for easy placement on floor surfaces. Materials are mapped to standard channels, allowing for adjustments to the leaf sheen or the metal finish of the stand. It is recommended to apply a soft area light or HDRI to capture the subtle variations in the leaf textures effectively.

This potted plant is suited for residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, or hotel reception areas where a focal point of greenery is required. It pairs well with contemporary minimalist furniture or mid-century modern interiors, serving as an effective filler for empty corners or beside lounge seating.
