About this asset

This traditional three-seater sofa SketchUp model features a dark wood frame, cream fabric upholstery, and intricate rattan cane detailing. Defined by its elegant, curved silhouette, this three-seater sofa combines classical form with textured natural materials. The frame is constructed from dark-stained wood, featuring exposed cabriole-style legs and sweeping armrests. The backrest and side panels are finished with woven rattan cane, providing a light, breathable aesthetic. The seat is cushioned in a smooth, cream-coloured fabric, complemented by a set of scatter cushions in both matching cream and a contrasting chevron-patterned fabric. Its proportions are generous, making it a focal point for formal living areas or refined lounge spaces.

The download is a 40.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed via a single component, allowing for quick placement within your scene. The geometry is clean, with materials applied as standard textures, making them easily swappable via the materials tray to suit different interior palettes. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer or tag to maintain scene organisation. Use the scale tool if necessary to adjust for specific room dimensions, and check the component orientation to ensure the rattan detailing remains correctly mapped.

This sofa is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or sophisticated waiting areas. It pairs effectively with dark timber side tables, traditional area rugs, and warm, ambient lighting to create a classic, inviting atmosphere. Designers often search for this type of furniture when specifying pieces for heritage-inspired interiors or eclectic spaces that require a touch of traditional elegance. It works particularly well as a statement piece in a sunroom, library, or formal sitting area.
