About this asset

This traditional Chinese wedding backdrop SketchUp model provides an ornate, layered stage set featuring intricate lattice screens and bamboo. This elaborate event staging piece features a deep red primary backdrop layered with traditional architectural elements including a circular moon gate motif, timber lattice screens, and stylised cloud carvings. The composition incorporates natural textures through bamboo stalks, potted greenery, and floral arrangements, accented by decorative birdcages and a miniature roof structure. Proportions are designed for a wide event stage, creating a formal, symmetrical focal point typical of cultural celebrations. All components are grouped as a single cohesive unit, allowing for easy placement and alignment within a larger event space model.

The download is a 192 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this model into a SketchUp scene, place it as a single component block and align it with the stage floor plane. Users should manage the high-density geometry by placing the asset on a dedicated layer, allowing for visibility toggling during active modelling. Materials are applied as standard textures; ensure these are mapped correctly if scaling the model, as the intricate lattice detail requires consistent UV orientation to maintain the intended visual quality across the backdrop surface.

Ideal for event planners and interior designers working on high-end wedding venues, cultural exhibition spaces, or themed hotel hospitality projects. This backdrop serves as a key visual anchor for ceremonial stages, reception photo walls, or gala event entrances. Professionals searching for oriental-inspired event decor, stage set design, or festive ceremony installations will find this asset suitable for rapid prototyping in conceptual design phases. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture or traditional seating arrangements to balance the ornate detailing of the backdrop.
