About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features teal leather upholstery, a distinct headrest, and a sleek black swivel base. This swivel armchair features a modern, ergonomic silhouette defined by a segmented backrest and a separate, floating-style headrest mounted on a central metal spine. The seat is upholstered in a smooth, teal-toned leather, showcasing clean seams that follow the contour of the shell. A slender metal column supports the seat, connecting to a wide, circular black base that provides stability while allowing for rotation. The design prioritises a sculptural aesthetic, blending minimalist geometry with functional comfort, making it an ideal choice for focused lounge areas or as a statement piece in a contemporary interior scheme.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the align tool to ensure the base sits flush on the floor plane. The object is typically organised by material IDs, allowing for easy adjustment of the leather reflection and glossiness settings. If necessary, apply a standard UV map to the upholstery to ensure texture scaling remains consistent. For lighting, consider using an HDRI environment to highlight the subtle sheen of the leather and the metallic finish of the central support column.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, executive home offices, or boutique hotel lobby spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as a solitary accent piece in a reading nook. Professionals searching for a modern lounge chair with a swivel mechanism will find this asset useful for mid-to-high-level interior visualisations. Its compact footprint makes it a versatile addition to both open-plan layouts and smaller, intimate seating arrangements where style and comfort are balanced.
